All you need to know about John Deere tractors

July 29, 2011 – A popular agricultural vehicle and tools supplier, Deere and Company are more commonly known as John Deere.

History
John Deere, after being bankrupt at Vermont, moved to Illinois in 1836 where he opened a tool repair shop. He was a blacksmith, and made small tools that he sold in his repair shop. However, it was not until his discovery with steel plows that made him famous. The steels plows were smoother as compared with wooden and iron plows.

However, it was in 1912 that the first John Deere tractors came out, and in 1923 the model D tractor was introduced which replaced the waterloo boy tractor. These model D John Deere tractors are now regarded as prized possessions.

John Deere Tractors Today
John Deere makes a wide variety of tractors designed to fulfill each and every need. These days John Deere Tractors can even be found at home Depot shops (the small ones of course). Moreover John Deere employs 47,000 people in more than 20 countries and their tractors are easy to distinguish with the famous green and yellow paint job. John Deere even makes custom tractors to suit individual needs.

John Deere Tractors – The Series 1
This series is the least expensive of all John Deere Tractors and they are specially designed for residential use. These days there are two models of the Series 1 and both are so well designed according to residential use that they can tackle almost any kind of landscaping and agricultural work. The good thing is that even these tractors can be fitted with attachments like front loaders, lawn mowers, backhoes and even snow blowers so that they can handle a multitude of tasks.

In addition, the 1023E gives about 23.5 horse power, while the 1026R is a more revamped model, giving around 25.5 horsepower and in addition to that it has a great light system that allows the user to work long past sunset.
